Programmer/Systems Administrator
The National Democratic Redistricting Committee is seeking a Programmer/Systems Administrator to assist our team with mapping and analysis for the upcoming redistricting process. The Programmer/Systems Administrator will serve a vital role in supporting the technical infrastructure used for drawing and analyzing congressional and legislative maps.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Setup, configure, and administer AWS virtual machines used for mapping and analysis and the related network.
Administer AWS Postgres instance including loading of census and other data.
Maintain and enhance Python code base for loading and analyzing data including extracting and combining data from various heterogeneous data sources.
Support cross discipline team in use of AWS\database platform.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with AWS services including S3, Workspaces, and RDS Experience administering Postgres.
Experience in scripting language including R, Python, etc.
Experience administering Linux based web servers and applications.
Experience in writing complex SQL queries across large data sets.
Demonstrated strength in data modeling, ETL development, and Data warehousing.
Strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Salary will be commensurate with experience. NRAF offers a generous benefits package, including health insurance, vacation, sick leave, and holiday schedules.
