AOTL Responds to Ohio Republicans’ Disingenuous Claims

Washington, DC -- Today, Liz Wester, All On The Line’s States and Advocacy Director, released the following statement in response to Republican claims that they could not draw fair state legislative maps by Ohio Supreme Court’s deadline:

“The deadline was not the problem. The problem was that Republican Commissioners refused to do their jobs and draw fair maps as required by law. It’s no coincidence that Republican Commissioners expeditiously passed another round of partisan gerrymanders by the Court’s deadline, but dragged their feet to prevent independently-drawn maps from being considered on time.”
